With a whole thesaurus worth of words, it's hard to pick just one to describe my 2016 Wedding Photography highlights. But I've decided to go with... Epic. Pure and simple- 2016 was an epic year for me. Was it exhausting? Yes. Do I want to nestle down and sleep all winter? Yes (with plenty of hot chocolate and roast dinners!). Did I have a fantastic time and photograph some awesome couples? YES! There have been tears (Karen and Duncan are in the lead for that one), laughter (Scott's best man nailed his speech) and a whole lot of partying. All of my couples couldn't have been more different but also couldn't have made for better photography. They were funny, genuine, loving and so so welcoming. I've felt like a broken record in my blogs this year, saying how much I have felt part of the day when photographing a wedding in every one! But it was the honest truth for so many of my weddings this year. I feel I've made some great friends and shared in the joy of all of the couples I have photographed. Witnessing and capturing people commit their lives to one another really is the best job in the world.
So... What are my 2016 Wedding Photography Highlights?
How to choose, how to decide...? There are so many amazing memories to look back on in 2016. I loved wandering through fields with Oli and Natalie. Seeing Scott and Sophie's son with them at the alter. Capturing the bridesmaids reaction to Bekky's dress before she married Oli. You can see moments from all of these weddings below- hopefully they give you a flavour of just how priviledged my wedding season has been this year.
